Amelia Residenzen stands for the Vienna of tall windows and quiet courtyards. We restore Altbau apartments with respect for their history — stucco ceilings, herringbone parquet, double doors — and equip them with everything modern travel demands: fast Wi-Fi, well-thought-out kitchens, self check-in. From the coffee roastery downstairs to the opera, it is never more than a few minutes on foot or a short tram ride. Frequently asked questions
How does check-in work?
Self-check-in from 3 pm via a keypad lock on the apartment door. You'll receive the code by email by noon on your arrival day.
Is there a lift?
Yes, the building has a lift up to the third floor.
Where is the best place to park?
The 7th district is a short-stay parking zone. We recommend the Stiftgasse car park (5 minutes' walk, around €28/day) — or, better still, arrive without a car.
Is the studio suitable for working from home?
There's a small table by the window and a solid Wi-Fi connection (150 Mbit). For longer working spells we recommend our apartments with a dedicated workspace.
Is the mezzanine steep?
The staircase up to the sleeping gallery has 12 steps with a handrail — more comfortable than a classic ladder, but not suitable for small children.
How warm does it get under the roof?
The building is solidly built; in summer the cross-ventilation through two window fronts helps. There's a fan in the cupboard.
